Suggested rFactor settings ?
I've been thinking about rFactor the last few days but before I do, want to
get some ideas as to settings in the game. My system specs; AMD64 3500+, OCZ 1024 (running in dual channel)., 9800pro (128m), Gigabyte GA-K8NSC-939 mobo (NF3 250gb chipset) and SBlive 24bit audio. Will I be able to run in DX9 with eye candy without the FPS/stutter hits I've been hearing about? Just wondering before I take the plunge and end up not being able to get enough visual along with performance out of my system. Thanks for any insight. |

You might not be able to max out everything, but pretty close. Your system is probably faster than average by a good margin. I run an Intel I-630 and ATI X-850 and can max out everything without stuttering. Your system is not much, if any, less capable. Ed |

The 9800P will be your bottle neck but you should still be able to get most
game details. Mitch " V "fnugen"" > wrote in message .. . > I've been thinking about rFactor the last few days but before I do, want > to get some ideas as to settings in the game. Suggested rFactor settings ?
My system is similar to yours (on an Asus A8V), and I haven't experienced any stutters so far, either on- or offline. It's a dedicated gaming machine though (I do all my productivity stuff on a separate Linux box), so everything is maxed out for games performance. I have found that running DX8 instead of DX9 increases fps with rfactor quite a bit. Cheers, uwe -- GPG Fingerprint: 2E 13 20 22 9A 3F 63 7F 67 6F E9 B1 A8 36 A4 61 |
