What sort of slippy stuff do you choose to put in your motors?

I bought some Comma 5w30 semi synthetic, though at 22 quid a tub I may elect
for something cheaper in the future given the rate at which it (156 2.0TS
2002) seems to 'use' it.

What do people use/prefer? Is the dear stuff any better?

Rick

Same here. About half Halfords price in Costco if you have one nearby.

5W30 is too thin for an Alfa. This might be one reason why use so much,
although all Alfa engines tend to use oil.

You should have 10W40 semi-synthetic at least and possibly fully
synthetic, or even 10W60 for the JTS engine.

I've used Selenia from day 1 (1st August 1998!).

I haven't. It just seems to be good oil. My Dad used it, I've used it for
years and years and my engines (barring deliverate imcompetence from poor
mechanics) have all been sweet.
