Default Gran Turismo 4; Disc Read Error (PS2)

Until very recently, I was able to use GT4 really easily and it operated just
fine then all of a sudden it decided not to work and every time I try to use
it, all it says is "Disc Read Error". I do have other PS2 Games and they
operate perfectly fine and the GT4 isnt scratched or damaged in any way. I
dont want to dismantle the PS2 but does anyone have any advice on how to fix
this problem because I'm getting really hacked off about it.....grrrrrrrr....:
(

Thanks
