Default Lost Key - 1992 Saturn SL2

Update...

Apparently, the key does not have a chip. It's a simple metal key.

No plastic key or spare key in the glove box, etc.

So... It boils down to whether there is a way to ID the key code from the
VIN or something else...

Any ideas?

A GM dealer should be able to access the database with that information.
It might require one that's been given the official title of "authorized
Saturn service center", so likely worth a phone call to check before you
go...when there were Saturn dealers, they had access, while other GM dealers
did not.

When I worked at the dealership, what we required to look up the data and
cut a key based on VIN was that the owner bring in their car registration
(thereby establishing it was their car) and their license (thereby
establishing they were the person named on the registration).
