Default Rough ride on a Golf

Hi all

I took my Golf IV 2.0 to have it serviced and I asked the dealer to
investigate on the hesitant/ jerky ride under normal acceleration. They told
me it was the airmass meter was faulty and it needed replacing which they
replaced under the warranty from the previous airmass meter replacement just
over a year ago!!

However, the ride is still jerky and it is very, very annoying especially if
I need to accelerate quickly and the car is very hesitant in doing so. The
problem seems to be more noticeable when climbing up hill.

Has anyone with a similar problem and that you have found the fault and been
fixed?

Any help would be much appreciated.

TIA

BTW you're in the wrong newsgroup. Try rec.autos.makers.vw.WATERCOOLED

I'd be slow to accelerate too if I was breathing water all day.

Default Rough ride on a Golf

This is generally an air cooled VW group but there,s some pretty
knowledgable blokes who may be able to help. Otherwise try a water cooled VW
group
