Tony, could you elaborate on these?
Are we to "demo" with the previously downloaded "full version" and applying
this patch? (but I deleted awaiting updated, dang it!)
or?

Just asking... if you can help me save some time, thanks.

Good point. If you have downloaded v1.0 then get the update otherwise
get the full version if you have held off.

Note that the either way you will only unlock the full capability by
activation (i.e. by paying for it).

Also the files simply extract to a folder - there is no installer as
such. So you will need to extract to your original NetKar 1.0 folder if
you download the update.

All a bit of a hassle I guess but worth the effort IMHO. Just enjoyed
some pretty good online racing in the FF1800.

This is still very much a 1.0 release, much to do to polish it up but
showing great potential and seems to have dedicated development rather
than an on to another project and fix it when time permits approach.

Cheers
Tony

Either it or me having a more modern soundcard fixed the sound, which I
didn't know was broken, but it does sound a lot more like a FF1600 now. <g>

Two versions of sound are now offered - the more conventional sampled
crossfade - for those having trouble with the physics derived scazzato
system. I think by default it goes to crossfade. Personally I have got
to like the scazzato sound but it seems to vary from soundcard to
soundcard.

Also a latency option has been added to the GUI for scazzato sound so
users don't have to edit text files.

Cheers
Tony

it... was NOT sure about the patch, because it "unzipped" itself to its own
folder? thanks anyway..

I'm hearing the new Demo didn't come out quite as expected.

Well there's no audible difference between a Hercules MuseLt and a Philips
Sonic Edge, that's for sure. Perhaps I need adjust the latency? -is there
any advantage to using physics derived sound?

The game also seems to play a little smoother without it, so....
