Default 91 Protege horn will not turn off.

91 Protege horn will not turn off.

Disconnected the neg terminal on the battery to stop it and loosened
the two? screws that hold the horn pad on the steerimg wheel

Connected the battery and horn blared constant unless I applied
pressure to the horn pad that I had just loosened

I want to remove the horn pad completly and check the horn contacts for
corrision.

Anything special I should know when I remove the horn pad??

Has anyone else had a similar problem and fix

Disconnect them -- two horns under the hood, in the front @ the grill to one
side of the radiator!

You may need a steering wheel puller to accomplish task!

Once steering wheel has been removed watch for a small bullet shaped copper
piece and spring, use common sense and be careful!
