Default Brake caliper leaking on X5

2001 X5 3.0i. Driver side front caliper is leaking brake fluid. Better
to rebuild the piston and seals or replace the whole caliper? Is it a
big job to rebuild (rebuild kit is < $20.00)?

Rebuilding brakes isn't hard. It's certainly not fun, but if you have the
proper tools, you can do it in less than 30 minutes per corner. If you
don't have the tools or have no experience, you'll be better off taking your
truck to an independent shop or back to the dealer. (Isn't it under
warranty, by the way?)

This should be a warranty item. If not, rebuilding it should be fine. The
metal parts are not likely to be bad, and there are several rubber parts
that can be bad.
