I don't have the answer to your question, BUT.... you can replace the points with a Pertronix pointless ignition kit, then the wear in the bushings won't matter and they won't wear as much after that with no sideways load from the points. Points are vulnerable to bushing wear, magnetic pickup is not. Rock solid timing. |
