Transmission question
I bought my Accord 2000 SE auto about 8 months ago, and since I have no
records of previous maintenances, I decided to replace the transmission fluid at 100,000 km. My question is: was it a right decision? What else should I do to maintain the transmission? Thanks for any advice.-Rob |

Ask a dealer for manual, they may be able to acquire you one, and YES, you
did the right thing by changing the fluid, on used carsand motorcycles, I always change fluids when I get it, you don't know how long it's been in there. Just be sure to drive it in between , and IMMEDIATELY before removing the drain plug to be sure all the crud is in solution. You only use honda ATF in a Honda. Saves on trips to the newsgroup.:-) 'Curly' |

Number should be in your owner's manual. Give them your VIN number and they can tell you what services, if any, were performed by a Honda dealer. I would always replace the fluids on a used car unless I knew the owner. |
