Witness: 'Shame on you, Toyota, for being so greedy'
Some excellent testimony videos. Looks like Toyota USA is only a sales
front, no engineering know-how, manufacturing or safety recall decisions (all done in Japan). And that Lentz guy doesn't seem to know anything but sales. What a shame. Videos on: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540...38073#35549366 Under Business -> Autos http://www.detroitnews.com/article/2...ing-so-greedy- |

HEY! Leave Woz alone! His Prius rocketed from 35-100 in just 60 minutes! |

Normally - CEOs act as the lead Public relations/sales manager
of a firm - the best they can do is either deny something, agree with you, or say they'll get back to you with an answer later. Having CEO appear before Congress - is not going to be a fact-finding-hearing but more of a public grievance and tongue lashing session. Which is what happens in most public hearing (the outcome is already pre-determined by actions occuring outside and before the public hearing ). For immediate answers for a technical qustion - the two persons in manufacturing that are much more likely to know the answer on the spot are the Project/Lead R&D Engineer and the Project/Lead Testing Engineer for a particular product. While some Toyotas are not made in Japan - they are all designed, developed, and tested in Japan so all the engineers would most likely need a Japanese Translator who specialized in translating computer technology, engineering, and scientific works ( who probably would also be an engineer or scientist as well). Needless to say Toyota's engineers and Dr. David Gilbert are not in agreement at this time. On Feb 23, 8:32*pm, john > wrote: > Some excellent testimony videos. I forgot. Statement above is still correct. Just substitute "Lexus" for "Camry". -- Tegger |
