We're gonna make the jump as so many cops do, using best available evidence: Fact #1, no cop making an honest salary can afford a Ferrari Fact #2, this cop did own a Ferrari. Conclusion.... pretty simple... |

(of course I don't think such abuses of the taxpayers' money are exactly honest, the department should hire more people if they are spending that much on OT) |

Those wages are paid by the businesses who hire the cops to work for them. The only time that the taxpayers are paying for overtime is when the cop is working on-duty and over his normal working hours. -- --- jaybird --- I am not the cause of your problems. You have that answer the question that wasn't asked thing down pat. Overtime is paid by the taxpayers. no second job was mentioned. You might as well have babbled something about the 'greys' |

My 7-4 job doesn't allow for interesting avenues of income the way a cop's job does. Anyone who made enough money in a side job that wasn't dependent upon the main job to afford a ferrari would give up the main job and do the side one full time and afford two or three ferraris. |
