Default Old Geezer Killed In Fiery Crash

How much you wanna bet he hit the gas when he meant to hit the brake?

http://www.local10.com/news/4799446/detail.html

Police said John Allen Walton, 63, of Pembroke Pines, was speeding
south on Interstate 75 when the car left the highway for unknown
reasons. The Corvette crashed into a 36th Street flyover bridge
support column head on, bursting into flames.

sixty-three isn't that old.

maybe he was trying to pass a *really* old sloth on the right hand side and
just went a little too nuts with the gas? ;-)

Unknown?? Like hell. The article says he was speeding and it's good
he killed himself and only himself.

Speeding doesn't magically make cars leave the road and crash into
things.

If it did, their would be a thousand times more accidents than there are.

His age had absolutely nothing to do with it. That guy was travelling
way too fast for conditions as the description shows: The Corvette was
traveling so fast that the front of the car is molded onto the abutment
and the rear wheels of the Corvette are off the ground, police said.

Trying to debate with trolls doesn't automatically get them to
understand reason.

If it did, they would be very few trolls on usenet.

Speeders don't have accidents. They have crashes, usually into some
innocent person. Fortunately, this psycho killed only himself.

If you knew anything about Corvettes and what happens to them when they
hit solid immovable objects like this one, you'd easily see that he was
probably traveling at about the speed limit when he crashed. My guess,
from witness statements, would be a heart attack. Same thing happened
to a GT1 driver at Road America not too long ago. Straight off Turn 12
at racing speed with no apparent attempt to brake or steer. He was
probably dead before he hit the tire wall. We can only wish the same
for this guy. You, OTOH, ought to suffer for your ignorance ...
