Improve steering in CMR 04?
After my eyes have had enough of flashing scenery on RBR (ATI driver bug - I
perservere only because it is such a great drive), I find myself actually enjoying CMR 04. Despite the less than accurate physics (it reminds me of the old NFS-PU, so good but not great), it has nicely designed stages and is a flashy looking, good quality racer which is especially fun to take on the road with the notebook. Unfortunately, the console bias shows in the steering, as it works reasonably well with the keyboard, very well with an analog gamepad and is absolutely terrible with the wheel. I've removed the deadzones and played with the "saturation" in the options screen, but the real problem seems to be lag between the action at the wheel and the response in the game. You can see this in the cockpit view, as it seems they have programmed in a little delay to deal with the typical "saw left and right at the wheel" type of PS2 user. Is there any way to get rid of this lag?
