So when can we expect a release? Last I was told was this summer but I
don't see that happening based on the lack of news to date.

From what I understand,it's based on NR2003,will be a pay for play
game, you will run on IRacing servers, you will not be able to connect to
a buddys IP to race, this is basically the news I have heard. Please
correct me if I'm wrong.

LOL - Me too Gary!

Don't feel too bad... Karting National Champion, F-SuperB, F-1200, F-2000,
F-Dodge
10-12 years of simming...... " not a good candidate " for beta testing -
lol

It's alright... I'm a road racer not a 'circle'/'left-turner' anyway! heh
heh
I suspect this product will be Nascrap er, um, "Show-Business-Racing" based.

LOL - C'mon..... "starting from near zero" ????
iRacing is NR2003+

There was no starting from zero. Hell, if they were half as smart as
expected....
they would take NR2003, then decompile (not that it's necessary) rFactor and
make a combination of the two. Seems to me that iRacing has spent all their
time and money on "GPS'ing the proposed tracks" Anyway... it's
mostly forgotten from my point of view.

Tim -

I'm sure it will be a fine sim when it arrives but those of us that
have registered on the site for updates and are serious about
(possibly) becoming part of this need more frequent updates, even if
they are minor ones. Posting here is nice, but if someone has signed
up and given you the info called for then they should get more than
one update every few months just to keep the interest going and the
word out IMHO.

Me, I live 45 minutes from Limerock and run there about 15-20 times
per year. Sure would have been nice to know about iRacing's presence
there ahead of time...

Still looking forward to the sim.
Gary P.

I've yet to get an email update that is even related to the sim itself, most
all are about marketing deals and on track racing and sponsors. There is
never nay news on the status of the sim it seems.

I understand that it might be hard to see why you weren't added to the
current testers Gary. I used to be the one taking those emails (I'm
not anymore), but I do remember sending you an email saying you'd been
added to the waiting list (which is huge) only. If you haven't been
called upon yet, it's not actually that surprising.
