Default New motor....

Got the 156 today, chuffed to bits with it.
It's been serviced but the service indicator has not been re-set. Does
anyone know how to do that?

Otherwise it's fine, I found £1 and 5p together with a box of Tictacs and
some sweets and girly bits behind the rear seat. Just need to figure out the
radio and climate control instructions now!

Well done on the new wheels. Hope it's as good as it sounds.

Here's how I reset my service schedule:

When stationary, press Info, scroll through to service, enter it and
then hold the + & - keys for 10 secs to re-set the indicator.

Really? I've a 2002 (new interior) 156 out there and my service warning
message has been on for months. Car is all serviced, but the garage didn't
reset the thingy.

Well, I'll be damned - it only bloody worked! Reset it to 12,244 (or
something like that). Strange service interval!

It tries to work it out based on driving style and so on AIUI.

Clever - I just assumed it was a KM distance converted to miles and not
rounded - I didn't bother reaching for the calculator though!

Press the info button. Press + until you get to the service menu, enter
it then press & hold the + & - keys for about 10 seconds.

I didn't read the whole thread, so haven't seen your post until I'd hit
send.
