Bull****. One rare case out of ten million is not anything to be worried
about.
I drove a truck for ten years and in all that time, never saw one driver's
face who had been damaged by the sun in that manner. There are a number of
truckers with 30 plus years behind them, and do not have this condition.

OH and what about all that time you spend in your car driving? The sun has
no effect? Or just by being in the sun all day long even for 100 years?
The report is an agenda of sick propoganda for some asshole promoting a
product.

The makers of NutraSweet said Sachrin caused cancer and because of that got
Sachrin pulled off the market. Sachrin was a little pill style sweetner you
dropped in your drink and it dissolved in the liquid, unlike sugar.

Now the new scare is, soda causes obesity. Bull****. I've beeen drinking
soda for 55 years and have a 34 inch waist line.

Well first this is the dailyfail so odds of the story being largely BS
is high. Second, I doubt you're drinking soda at the rate of a gallon or
more a day like some people do.

As to artifical sweeteners... I wouldn't trust any of them.

There's so much wrong with this statement that I'm not even going to try to
correct it.

Do you even know what Sachrin was? I do and I used it.
Sugar does not dissolve in water unless you boil it.

It's "saccharin" and it was never banned in the US. You're thinking of
cyclamates.

He is so stupid that he makes a statement like that that he has
probably disproved himself many times by stirring some into his
coffee, tea or something else.

Science lesson for you evan.
Take an 8 ounce glass. Fill it half full with standard, everyday, off the
shelf, sugar.
Add cold water right out of the tap.
Question: Has the sugar dissolved?
Answer: No, it has not.

Try again, Richard.

Sucrose is exceedingly soluable in water. 179 grams of it will dissolve
in 100 grams of freezing temperature water, which is a lot. More at
room temperature (2 to 1 by weight!), even more when hot.

p.s. Perform your little experiment and _taste_ the water.

I wonder if his bit of stupidity is caused by the common belief that
you can ruin an engine by pouring sugar in the gas. He may be one of
few that knows that is wrong. Sugar will not dissolve in gas but it
will clog up every filter it gets to resulting in a big bill changing
filters and cleaning th tank.

I'm still shaking my head at his insistance it won't disolve in
water. By now he should have tried it.
