The source seems to have been a single computer (located at the IP
address I posted). The posts were not composed or written by a human
being but instead were posted programatically by a script or a
trojan-infected computer.

I was wondering why the sudden flood of the ****?

Hipcrime?

Anyone follow net.events or any such info source?

Who knows? Addresses (e-mail and maybe NGs) take on a life of their own.
Every now and then I receive automated rejection msgs from companies
advising me that I have sent them e-mail with a virus payload...and I have
never heard of these companies...

It looks like there is a cyber version of me sending out viruses... and
versions of my address supposedly send out spam, of which I have received
copies once or twice...
