Default Rochester 4gc accelerator pump intake

I'm rebuilding a 4gc for my 327 powered 1963 Impala and have a
question about the pump intake ball. My carb didn't have one in the
pump well but my rebuild kit contained a replacement. How can I tell
if my carb uses the intake ball in the pump well? It looks like the
bowl has a casting for the intake strainer but can't tell much about
the bottom of the pump well. Thanks, Todd
