Default 94 Corolla engine stops while idle

Hi, I have a 1994 Corolla with 140K miles on it.

These days, the engines quite often stops itself while the car is idle,
for example, while I am am waiting for the green light.

Luckily, right now, I can still turn the key and restart it. But I am
afraid some day, it won't restart anymore and has to be towed.

Some problems I feel about this car recently.

1. The exhaust pipe spits out some water while idle on cold mornings.

2. The car is shaky while idle. I can feel it on my seat behind the
wheel.

3. The car seems to accelerate itself, don't know if this has to do
with the low pressure of the 2 front tires. (The problem seems to be
better if pump up the 2 tires, however, I don't feel for sure.)

I just had the battery and alternator checked 2 days agao and they were
both fine.

Any idea why the engine stops itself?

Your Question

#1-- Normal

2) -- Idle speed is too low

3) -- I'm assuming your car is fuel-injected. I'm Old-School, don't
know much about that new-stuff, I'm still in the land of "dino-carb."
Nothing to do with tires.

I would recommend a basic tune-up, telling the shop that the idle is
set too low.
