Default "Viatology free" websites

So-called "viatology free" websites are a conservative artform of
regional interest, primarily geared at promoting regional values and a
narrow focus that self-relates to the author (including his unchanging
socioeconomic status).

When you see the term "viatology free" used as a term of promotion,
ask the person... How many countries have you visited to research
road studies? Where's the furthest you've traveled? See how quickly
they'll rebuke using their systems of morality to contradict the
methods of research.

Meh.

Cheers,

Carl Rogers

Default My apologies to the readers of these groups

At this time I would like to apologize to the readers of these newsgroups.
Unfortunately I recently caused you to be subjected to some crossposted crap by
a notorious spammer, ****** and general all-around worthless pile of human
excrement. I am sincerely sorry that my efforts to share my hobby resulted in
you finding monkey-flung poo on your computer screens.

Not to worry. Anyone who has spent more than a few days

at m.t.r. already knows who the real road enthusiasts are - -

and who the flamers, slanderers and trash-talkers are.

Your reputation, sir, is unsullied. The other guy ....

would be dispatched (many times over), if only we had the means.

It should be the Vitamintologist who apologizes for posting his crap... not
that he ever will.

Since none of us claim to be doing viatology, no one should take the
seriously the barbs and arrows of a certain poster who says that other
websites don't meet up with his viatological standards.

Thanks Karl ... your point is well-received, and good points all
around. Have a good weekend.

The appearance of viatology free sites is a positive sign that your
masterful work has been noticed. I would take it as tacit encouragement
to further pursue the viatological road with increased vigour.

Keep up the good work.

Oh, I'm sure it rings once in a while - when some telemarketer or
politician's robo-dialer calls with a pre-recorded message.
