Default Nissan Frontier Replacement Shocks

All, I recently purchased a 2000 Nissan Frontier XE Crew Cab. The truck
came complete with a 3" lift (I think) and 32" ties. My questions is...
what do I do if I ever need to replace my shocks when they go bad. The
existing ones don't have a brand name and neither does any of the
aftermarket parts that were replaced with the lift kit. The only clue
to the manufacturer of the lift kit is a sticker on the tow hitch for
"Fabtech". However, I went to their page and the "one" lift kit that
they have for this type of truck looks nothing like mine. Would I be
able to shop for the shocks by measuring the existing ones? Please
advise.

I would go to a local 4x4 shop and ask for shocks for your truck with a 3"
lift. You can buy any brand shocks so long as they fit. Failing the 4x4
shop, I would (when they go bad), pull one off, take it's measurements, and
armed with that, you should be able to purchase new shocks.

HTH.

Any decent local 4x4 shop should be able to tell you what kind of
lift kit you've had installed, including whether or not it is a
Fabtech, and may be able to ident the shocks as well.

As for new shocks, all you really need to know is that you
have a 3 inch lift, and then buy shocks for a 2000 Nissan Frontier
with 3 inch lift. e.g. Edelbrock, Rancho, Old Man Emu, Doetsch, etc.
