thanks for the advice...

I thought that since it was fuel injected you werent supposed to pump
the gas.
I think I have pressed the gas pedal while turning over the engine and
it started good though, could be the culprit.

thanks... I have no idea what you just said... I know what the ECM is
(the cars computers?)

So it's not REALLY a big problem then. )
Just thought I'd help a brother out from under an albatross that was
weighing him down. )

Toss in the engine for $100.00, keep the key. )

Seriously, C-4 reliability is generally good. That said, even if it just
sat around, a 13 year old car probably has rubber drying out/deteriorating
issues no matter what brand it may be. You could REALLY have a problem on
your hand and own a 450SEL of the same vintage. )
