Cool breeze, lower humidity, light overcast to keep the sun from beating down so hard. Not a hint of rain all day. Just don't hit the highway northbound. Traffic was brutal going north in the morning because it was Labor Day and the summer crowd was leaving "before the hurricane arrived". At least we now have the beaches to ourselves for a couple months before the snowbirds arrive. Ivan is going either to the Keys or Texas depending on how much it gets sucked into South America today. If it slows down it will turn north and miss us going up the east coast. If it stays north of South America or doesn't lose speed it will go across the Yucatan peninsula. I'm betting on the former. That is until Sunday when it's in the middle of the Gulf heading north at 10mph at which time I'm getting the plywood out of the garage. Dale Corvetteless for a 6th month!!! |
