Default me again, the 1992 vette guy

Okay, I havent even got my vette yet (should be here this week)
but i wanted to ask on some opinions of some in-dash CD players, or
changers.
I would like to keep my vette as stock as possible, but it doesnt have
the bose cd player, it has a tape player, and I dont own any tapes!
Are there any cd players that "work well" with the 1992 vettes? Im not
really a sound guy, so I dont know if this is a stupid question or
not.

I guess if any of you have aftermarket cd players in your 1992 vettes
I could use that info...

Also, any advice on alarms would be helpful.
thanks!

Go to Crutchfield - and put in your year Corvette. It will tell you which
products work in your car, which harnesses you would need for each product,
and rates how easy or hard each install is.

I went with this JVC double-din unit:
http://www.jvc.com/product.jsp?produ...6000&pathId=63
and 4 new Infinity speakers. Fits the opening perfect. You have to rewire
the speakers since the amp is in the head unit. But then, I have a bunch of
(personally recorded) cassettes. I know, how 20th century. Hey, I put an
8-track in my first car, a 1963 Buick LeSabre...I switched to cassettes when
disco started driving me nuts in the 70's.

Keep the original stuff in a box in the event you sell the car. Some buyers
are purists and don't care about the hi-fi.
