that's not a roll bar, that is the side impact cross member that '94 and

oh, on second look i see what you mean. why not shoot an email off to the
guy that created it and ask him if it requires the interaction with the roll bar. If you look at the idea http://miata.cardomain.com/ride/273010/11 you'll see it requires something higher than the top handle to run the cord over so it can lift the top. There's nothing in my car that is higher than the top bow other than the headrests but I'm thinking that something might be worked out.... I'll have to play with it. |

What happens when the top is just starting to come up and the hat tears? Or comes off? Or pulls down over my eyes blinding me? Or is destroyed in a photon storm? |

Or is destroyed in a photon storm? Oh, come now. Leon isn't responsible for your poor choice of hats. Suck it up and add a pulley to one of these: http://www.loveleaf.net/ts/image/326_lg.jpg --- Lanny Chambers '94C, St. Louis http://www.hummingbirds.net/alignment.html |

If you are in the driver's seat facing forward--Stick your right arm
straight up in the air. Imagine that you are holding the wood handle (or a loop handle) that is attached by a cord to the center front top handgrip. Pulling on the handle will give you enough leverage to start the top on it's way to closing. Does any one have a spring fish scale? I'd like to know the amount of force really needed. I've got a couple of bad disks, so I don't even try to reach behind and close the top. Naturally, the NC has a new design top that may make things easier.
