Do You Hate SUVs?

I don't have an active hate for SUV's or SUV drivers. If they have the
money to afford one, they have the right to drive it just like
everybody else on the road.

However, there are a couple of things that tick me off:

1. When they aren't parked correctly. Just because it is a bigger
vehicle doesn't excuse the driver for taking up two spots, or when
parallel parking, being partially out in the lane of traffic. If they
can't operate or manuever the vehicle to park it properly, they don't
need to be operating it.

2. They make gas prices higher by raising demand, because they use
more. This in itself doesn't bother me. What does though, is watching
people amble out of their Hummers or Expeditions at the pump, and start
griping about the high price of gas. It's like smokers griping about
the cost of cigarettes. No one forces them to purchase fuel-inefficient
vehicles. If they want to buy an SUV, that's fine, but the ones sitting
on I-75 alone in their SUV should be the last ones to complain about
gas prices.
