Default jeep cherokee heating

1997 jeep cherokee

the fan stays on pretty long after the engine is shut off. today the
temp
was about 45 and after driving 2-3 miles it stayed on 1/2 hr after turned
off. has enough coolant

ideas? thermostat bad?

That or a plugged up radiator core.
