Default Bad vibration when accelerating 99 Blazer 4.3 - 4WD

Hi everyone,

For the past five or six months, whenever I've taken off from the stop
position, I have felt a reasonably significant vibration through my
steering wheel and on the floor board of my 99 Chevy Blazer (4WD - 4.3
litre). At first it didn't seem to noticeable, but gradually over time
its becoming more pronounced, but as soon as I got to rolling speed
(20-30 miles an hour) it always disappeared and would never be felt
above the speeds mentioned.

Yesterday, the vibration was so significant when taking off (definitely
something wrong) that I though about stopping the vehicle and towing it
home. I know it's not the front wheel bearing, because I changed that
less than 3000 clicks ago.

Lately I've had the slightest cracking sound coming from the front left
side of the vehicle, similar to the sound you get when opening the
drivers door, when it hasn't been lubricated in a while (You know how
****ty the door mechanism are on these vehicles) when coming to a stop,
which could be part of the problem.

After turning off the vehicle and letting it sit for awhile, it
returned to the same amount of vibration as mentioned in the first
paragraph, and I was able to get it home.

Has anyone ever had this problem? What could it be?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Rob

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'll be bringing it in this week to
the dealer and will post the reason why.

Rob
