Default Blurry rear view mirror '99 A6

I have a blurry outside rear view mirror, drivers side on an A6. I assume it
is related to the heated mirror. I also assume I will need to replace the
glass. Is this a difficult job? any BTDT?
Thanx in advance.
Andy
