I can't make any promises that I will stick around again... this board doesn't move like it use to... I left here in 2002 to join shoptalkforums (maybe i should stop in there and say hi too?) and then left there for the samba... i leave lots of places and eventually come back. But this is my home and where it all started so many moons ago! |

Could not locate your first posting so this comes a tad further down the line. Always good to see people posting here. I sold the -56 Oval I had some three years ago, been stored in a barn for several years, cost me money and had no where to work/take care of it. So, Felatio 'Had' to go, what I did not know at the time was how much these cars were worth, practically gave it away. I'm probably one of the few these days that checks this group on a daily basis. There is much more to be found on the different forums, which I find sad in a way. All the best. P.J. aka. There is a reunion going on and nobody told me about it. ) I still
check in from time to time and today just happened to be one of those times. Good to see some familiar names. This group may not have the traffic that it once did, but has always been my favorite ACVW group. Jan I remember the year you stayed online for 24 hours straght during New Years Eve chat. I saw you pics of Frannie's retoration from your other post. Glad to see she is being taken care of. Don't have an ACVW at present. Have been driving my 2007 Honda Element as my daily driver since March 2010. Had to buy used because they discontinued the stick shift in 2010, and I did not want the built in navigation system that they had on the 2009 and later models. It also didn't hurt that it was lot less expensive than a new one. Not VW, but have a few pics of the Element if anyone feels like looking: http://rides.webshots.com/album/578354740oXFWzt On Feb 26, 8:31*pm, Jan Andersson > wrote: > On 2/26/2012 12:28 PM, wrote: > > > > On Wednesday, February 22, 2012 9:45:30 PM UTC-5, Jan Andersson wrote: > >> On 2/22/2012 9:31 PM, Gary Tateosian wrote: > >>> On Feb 21, 9:48 pm, Lauren > * wrote: > >>>> Just wanted to drop in and say hi... I still check the group daily, but activity are few and far between here. No longer a VW for me either, if I buy a new aircooled it will likely be a Citroen 2CV, no immediate plans though. Take care. This group was my first foray into VWs on line too - about 15 years ago; and the web site www.vw-resource.com would not exist today if it was not for this group - I started answering Qs put by Dave in the USA when he was rebuilding his son's (now his) 73 superbug. We became good friends (and I finally met him last year for the first time!) and we had so much stuff after a year or so of emails back and forth during his rebuild, we started the web site - which is now a dinosaur in size - over 400 articles. Dave in WA USA still has that 73 superbug, and I still have my original 1970 1500 swing axle bug (plus a 68 and a 57). Jan - you always gave (and give) great advice. Bill - you had THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE list of VW links I have ever seen. Nice to see lots of the old folks popping in again.
