Default Alternator Q

I recently replaced the alternator on my '86 Capri 5.0 after 170,000 miles.
Connections look very similar, if not identical to what yours shows. The
top one is for the voltage regulator. The bottom one is the alternator
rectifier plug. This is OEM design.

Your specific alternator looks stock to me, but then again so did the
replacement I got from AutoZone. This is pretty much how they are designed.
Look on the case for a Ford Part #, I think it's on the back.

If you need to replace it, it's very simple. one belt, two bolts, two
plugs. Took me less than an hour. Someone very experienced could probably
do it in 1/2 hour or less.

Hi guys...

Me with the questions again...

Is posting pics here still verboten? There is so little activity in here
during the summer, I can't imagine I'll be killing any posts...

So here is my (very small) pic... it's of the alternator on my 1993 Cobra.
It don't look too stock with the two electrical prongs... can anyone help me
ID this? The service manual is of no help of course.

Thank you.

Brad
