You will spend a lot of time accelerating to this kind of speed and that is expensive in gas. Real world numbers I pushed a car capable of 140mph on german highways for a trip of about 3 hours and won about 15 minutes. Cost a lot of stress and a fill up (which cost those fifteen minutes).
