Default 1992 Buick LeSabre wheel lock problem

My daughter's 1992 Buick LeSabre has the wire wheel covers. It
currently has a flat tire and I want to change it for her.

Problem is that I can remove the wire wheel cover. They provided me
with a orange plastic wire wheel lock wrench. It looks NOTHING like the
one in the manual (which is metal one with a different design). I'm not
getting enough tourque and therefore won't move nut (not even a
little).

If you have advice please let me know.

thanks!

Bob

Is it really plastic or does it have an orange plastic coating?

Is it really a wrench -- as in a one-piece design? ...I can't imagine i.e. it
should be a socket design with a hex shaped nut on its end!!!

If you can't get it off - Mac tools makes a tool that can remove the wheel
lock -- is something $20US for the kit -- I have in my hand -- is a 1/2" drive
socket. Here is a picture of a similar lock removal tool >>
