Default Gearing on my 4x4

i HOPE SOMEONE KNOWS, I have a full size blazer 4x4 that haD A 700R4 IN
IT WITH A NP203 TRANFER CASE.
IT NOW HAS A T350 AND A NP208 TRANSFER CASE. AND THE GEARING HAS STAYED
THE SAME AT 3.08-1. aLL OF THE CONVERSTION CHARTS SAY THAT I SHOULD PUT
A 5.38 OR 5.71 GEARS WITH 38 INCH TIRES FOR MORE POWER, DOSE ANYONE
KNOW IF THIS IS CORRECT.
