Did you, or someone else, mention that the Gen2 Volt is going to change its
genset method of operation?
I thought I read that, but can't find it. If so, any details?

It wasn't me. I don't know anything about it.

They seem good for an econobox. Glad I'm not stuck with owning one
though.

The cost doesn't matter to him at all. He's mostly talking about MY
money! He's just plain ****ed about a whole lot of things, and I think
he's dead serious about his conspiracy theories.

Not in any direction that requires accepting reality.

I figure I've got about 20 more years that I might still enjoy driving
and riding. Should be fun. Some of my older friends have had to step
down to Vstroms. If they were posting here EA would tell them they
should be riding mopeds.

I wouldn't tell other people what they can have, as long as it doesn't
impact me.

Suburban ladies in Ford Extortionists on the Garden State Parkway,
talking on their cell phones and leaning back to swat their screaming
kids while swerving into my lane at 70 per are a possible exception.

Yup. So is a third-floor walk-up with a window overlooking the rail
yards -- or Mt. Vernon. <g>

If money was not an object, what would you drive? I'd be driving a
Lotus Exige S Roadster.

Get your hands on a genset, grab the throttle lever, pull off the
governor/regulator cable, and go "vroom, vrooom" while the generator
is hooked to a big resistive load that keeps varying.

EA's conspiracy theories aside for a moment, I think his only real
concern here is what a single specific person owns. YOU could buy
Humvee with remote control hopping suspension and he wouldn't say much
at all, much less while away his days telling you that your light
switches were going to set your house on fire.

Yeah, but harping on the extravagance of having 4 cupholders? Hating

of the cheapest of cheap cars? LOL

Here ya' go, the perfect cheap girlfriend for you. Will never order
expensive food and won't say a word about being chauffeured in a Fit.

If I told EA what I'm working on for a view, the race would be on.
Would his computer or his head explode first?

There is the nasty narcissistic condescension of the elitist asshole.

> lol), an econobox is MORE than adequate.

This is the essence of the buttinsky, dictatorial mindset of the
leftist. She isn't content to live a drab, austere life herself; she
insists that everyone must do so.

As long as people are paying the full cost of what they consume - and
admittedly, no automobile driver does - then it isn't any of your
business what kind of cars other people drive.

I think that might take away from the design goal of lowest weight.
But it wouldn't prevent mining her flesh for carbon fiber.

LOL

Asking Tom to do the math is like asking a five year old to memorize
War and Peace. Here's a funny scenario to ponder. One of Tom's
employees lives 10 miles away. His aunt dies and wills him a Volt. He
only drives it to work in Dresden Ohio, where he charges it by
sneaking a cord out the window of Dilapidated Brush. Thereby commuting
5000 miles in his first year without burning a single gallon of fuel.
Of course this costs miserable fatass Fagin Gardner $20 a month, or
about the cost of a decent lunch. So he calls Homeland Security.

Have you seen this three-wheeler yet?

===
GRAND RAPIDS — Elio Motors, a startup company that hopes to put
American commuters on three wheels rather than four, rolled into
downtown this week to show off the car it hopes to begin building and
selling next summer. The silver prototype, which carries two passengers
tandem-style, was not available for test drives because it’ s not
licensed or approved for road use. But company officials were happy to
take reporters on short spins around the parking lot across the street
from River House Condominiums on Bridge Street NW. The three-wheeled
car was designed around four principles established by company founder
Paul Elio, said Chip Stempeck, Elio’s vice president of marketing, who
is taking the car on a tour of Michigan cities this week. The car had
to deliver at least 84 mpg on the highway, cost no more than $6,800,
have a five-star safety rating and be made in America, Stempeck said.
The 850-pound prototype achieves those goals through a combination of
light weight, aerodynamics and five air bags that will be deployed in
case of an accident, Stempeck said...

It was on our local paper's front page today. Should set EA's heart
