Both front suspension arms (top).
Rear brake pipes.

Expensive.

Please don't tell me how cheap it *should* be, just cheer me up with jokes
and naked ladies...

A rabbi, a priest and a atheist walk into a bar.

The barman says 'Is this some kind of joke'?

Yeah, I know, so are the brake pipes really - they are corroded. Still
doesn't hurt any less tho!

Working from home today, so I wasn't offended. Quite the opposite in fact!

Must say that the GT cloverleaf that I've got while they find fault with my
car has disappointed me. Looks great, nice cockpit, but its the 1.8 and
totally lacking in grunt!

Oh no no. That's *not* the point of NSFW

Well what did you expect? That's a bare 90% of a half decent engine

TBH I wasn't sure what to expect... I've heard (mainly in here) that some of
the early 2.0 JTS engines put out way less than the 165 horses that they are
supposed to, some are even lower than the 150 that the 2.0 TS. Mine is one
of the first 2.0 JTSs, so I was quite prepared for this GT's 140hp engine to
be as quick as mine, but its nowhere near - 5th on the motorway from 50mph
up to (ahem) 70 takes way way longer and there is much less torque. I guess
I'm pleased really IYSWIM!

I can't complain about driving a car with my initials and a little
cloverleaf on the back for a few days though!!

My last bill for a service and MOT for my 1999 156 was £2300.
£800 on welding alone.
Figured another year for £2300 was cheaper than getting a new car.
Now running a 159 that costs me £400 a month in loans.

£715 total - service, MOT + new parts + labour.

On the plus side, the car doesn't pull slightly left any more and the
steering wheel is straight when the car is straight, also speed bumps don't
squeak any more either (Thought that was old shocks, but was the old 'play
in bushes')

The GT looked good, but its nice to have mine back!
