I love stuff like that. It's either going to be fun to see a niche
market variation on a motorcycle, or fun to see people line up to lose
their money on obvious vaporware. Putting a body on a motorcycle
doesn't make it a car, and it can't make it cheaper than a bike. The
price is entirely unrealistic, likely the weight as well no matter how
flimsy considering all the advertised features. The 5 star crash
rating claim is probably backed up by nothing but adspeak. The company
is promising the world and that's a very bad sign with startups. The
money raising angle is scary.

But he seems to be an outlier. Most of the media is simply retyping
the Elio press info. The hype reminds me of Moller and Aptera.

Nope. Company says "no one will pass gas stations like you." EA likes
to complain about that A LOT. And the statement isn't true. A whole
bunch of different models can pass more stations.
