No help here as it must be English or French, both noted for rather bazaar
design as is the rear of this strange but not boat-tail vehicle.

Difficult, isn't it? There not even a sniff of a badge anywhere that I
can see. The radiator shell is distinctive, with its central peak, but I
don't know what it is. I think the car's American; the front bumper, the
rake of the windscreen don't look European to me, but I could be wrong.
The car's design is certainly unusual.

Hi Leroy,

The car looks like it has a French influence.
The radiator cap/gauge id identical to a 1920 Corre La Licorne.

What was the name of the event and where were the pictures taken?

Maybe be able to tace it that way.

Cheers,
Ron

Hi, Ron

I took these at the IPL Indy 500 Festival Parade on 24th May this year,
through the streets of downtown Indianapolis. The programme for the
Parade lists all the floats and the dignitaries and celebrities carried
in the cars, but not the cars themselves.

I'll do some further research myself, and explore your suggestion of a
La Licorne, thanks for that. Anything else you can come up with would be
much appreciated.

Hi Leroy,

Some times these cars come from a club or museum.
That is another way to track them down :-)

I'll start searching.

Cheers,
Ron

Thanks, Ron. I had a look at a few pictures of La Licornes, and I agree
that the radiator cap is identical, but their radiator shells don't have
the same very distinctive shape of this car. The radiator cap may be a
proprietary one, like a Motometer, which featured on so many cars of the
1920s, before dashboard mounted temperature gauges became the norm.
