dash full of toggle switches, square fender skirts on a round flowing side
lines, taillights from some other car and no sign of a MERCURY on the car at
all. FORD should be happy Bob didn't have any Merc parts showing.
That spot on the beautiful lawn should have been given to some of the really
great cars that were there.

When I saw the header I expected something Excalibur-like or Dual Ghia-ish,
but Holy Cow! I didn't want to make the only rude comment, but since you
all have blazed the trail--it's really the most horrendous barfmobile I have
ever seen. Bob Hope had such class, grace and polish; how could he
commission such a monstrosity? Actually, from the back the Hollywood flash
is not overwhelmingly ugly, but every other angle reveals a cornucopia of
not just bad taste, but the total absence of any sense of line or
proportion. It looks to be in great condition--do we suppose it has been
hidden (in shame) under a heavy tarp for 59 years to look so pristine?
