Tip: How to fixed Jammed CD tray
Last weekend the 12-disc CD tray got stuck in the Delco
CD player in the hatch. The CDs would not play, showed Err on the display and I could not get the tray to eject by opening the sliding door. I remembered a tip from another C5 owner and it worked. The tip is pretty simple..... just remove the connector from the bottom of the CD changer, wait some time and reconnect. The problem was removing the connector. I did it the hard way by removing the CD player. GM keep power to the CD player at all time.... key on or off and it sometimes needs a reset. It is working like new now and saved me big bucks. The dealers will charge you to remove and ship the unit to a third party for repair. Try the above tip first arkay |
