Don't want to belabor the point but my server is doing what it should, it's
a non binary news group. Some of the pay for use servers include the pictures and some that have band with to burn. -- Dad 04 C5 CE Z51 72 Shark Black/Black/4spd > > Your server, Dad. No worries. That was my fault for telling the reader to change Ric's
message from HTML to plain-text. Now I am confused...What blocks the binary files ? I have Verizon DSL with
the MSN Premium package and can log on to the net via verizon or msn. I always can view the HTML posts and JPG's, but only on this group if I send a HTML post or JPG, it never shows up. Works the same via MSN or Verizon. Yet can use HTML/JPG/Binary on any of the other news.verizon.net or the numerous Microsoft Groups servers......What has always happened in the past is that whatever format I can read, I can also post in, so this one NG is a bit different. Any hints out there ? -- Tedd Riggs Redmond, WA 1998 C5 6 spd "Diode" > wrote in message t... > Dad spoke thusly: > >> The dialup connection has nothing to do with this news group. I can't imagine why the a.a.c group would be treated differently by a news server, but I suppose it is possible. Has anyone ever seen the charter of the group? Our news server scans *attachments* to posts for viruses and doesn't allow us to open anything infectious. Ric put his picture in the "body" of the post via HTML, and that came through fine.
