How to protect myself
I'm looking at an '04 with 1800 miles on it, but it's in Pittsburgh.
For all that don't know, it gets real cold there in january, when the car was purchased. Also, it was owned by a woman. So, cold + woman could be bad combo, based on some previous experience. How can I be sure the block isn't cracked, etc. I know there are additives that can hide this from compression tests, etc. Does the factory warranty cover this if it were to be discovered after the purchase? Thanks, TF |

TF spoke thusly:
> How can I be sure the block isn't cracked, etc. This is 2004. When was the last time you heard of a car that had water in it instead of coolant?? If you're looking for something to worry about, this prolly isn't it. -- Shut up, Dave. -|>|- Diode -|<|- '68 L-79 Coupe '79 Triumph Bonneville |

Get a GMPP (7 year, 100K) and also have her sign the original warranty over to you (standard procedure), and if anything breaks for the next half dozen or so years the dealer fixes it for free. -- _______________________________________ Not to him who is offensive to us are we most unfair, but to him who doth not concern us at all" -- Friedrich Nietzsche |
