If there's so much oil under the gulf, what's all this Peak Oil ****we've been warned about for 20 years

Now we're told the damn thing might gush for years and years and
flood
the gulf entirely! Even if it's capped it looks like there's PLENTY
of
oil there.

The politicians love to convince us a problem exists and the only
solution is to spend $500 B correcting it. And the politicians get a
kickback on every one of those multi-billion $ contracts. That's how

Even without those kick-backs, politicians know they need to "do
something", even if in reality that "something" is worse than nothing.
But that's how they can campaign to be reelected.

But it doesn't work. Presidents still start wars independently of
congress and call it a police action or peacekeeping or some BS like
that.
