1991 Cadillac DeVille Electrical Problem
I have a 1991 Cadillac DeVille, bought it recently from a gentleman who has
passed so Ican't ask him. Anyway - the car was running great then the passanger door controls stopped working and when I press on the breaks my radio shuts off - I release the breaks and it comes back on - interior lights on my dash board flash when I apply the breaks - starts out really bright then the more I hit the breaks they dim or flash bright then dim. Help - could this all be related to one switch or bad wiring or maybe a fuse?????? |

That usually means you have lost a body ground. The main ground is a
mesh cable from a bolt likely on the bell housing up to the body, usually on the passenger side of GM's. There is another small one from the battery negative to the fender that has likely melted down also.
