94 turn signal problem
when i turn on the left signal, everything is correct. when using the right
signal, the stop doesn't appear to hold the stalk in the turn position anymore. is the a problem with the switch itself (requiring major dismantling of the steering column from what it looks like in the service manual), or is there a mechanical stop that provides this holding mechanism that maybe has worn off? thanks, charlie |

Labor is a different story. Not a hard job but a bit tedious. Replaced one last year and glad I finally did, just put it off because of the work involved. Good luck |

Good for you. looks like you're finding the answers you need. The CC switch looks like Airtex or OEPro that sells for less than the $30 they want but it should work. Tools required are a puller and a tool to depress the lock plate. If you get in there and find it is the wiper switch they are a bit more expensive than the directional switch, not a bad idea to replace both. Air bags are always disabled to work on or around them. |

How much did that set you back if you care to give out that figure? |

How > much did that set you back if you care to give out that figure? it was the directional switch. now that i have a new one, i can say that it's actually been partially broken since i purchased the car in 97. i just never knew what it was supposed to feel like. it was actually 2.5 hours at $90/hr + 45for the part. i watched the mechanic and there's no way i could have done it in under 4 hours, and he needed a few tools that i didn't have either. |
