Default Wire cut need to change the whole wheel on a C5

Hi to all,

The wire that goes in the whell has been cut. This wire enables the ABS,
stability control and antiskid to run.
The garage owner told me that I have to change the whole wheel : hub with
everything around it.....it will cost me
about 800 euros for that.
Do anyone would recommand me a another solution.

Thanks for any help.

Jacques Moreau.

How did the wire get cut? Where is the cut? On the hub side or on
the wiring harness side? Why can't the wire be spliced? Or just
replace the harness?

Check out www.c5forum.com or www.corvettemechanic.com for more help.

Hi,

Thank you for your answer. I will have alook to the 2 web site.

The wire has been cut by a little stone on the hub site.
According to the garage owner the hub has to be change. It means that the
wire can't be spiced.
But it seams very strange.

I wil let you know.

Bye.
Jacques.
