Default £6000 on a 4x4...why not?

Hello group,

I would be interested in your opinions regarding which 4x4 would suit my
needs and budget as this is the first time I have ever even contemplated
one.

Family of 4
Likes to go camping (equipment storage)
Bike riding (Cycle carriage x4)
Exploring (not too extreme though)
All year round usage (shopping, work, 80% round town usage)

I Average 11,000 miles per year

My ideal 4x4:
Suzuki Grand Vitara size, not much bigger
2.500cc petrol or less
at least 25 mpg urban usage
soft / hard top option
sporty looking
space for kids and luggage
air con, electric everything

You could say, "why a 4x4", well if only to be seen in something different
to a Mondeo, Vectra, Astra, Focus.......plus I've had enough of the rat
race, If my Vehicle can't do 0-60 in 7 secs then It's pointless constantly
thinking about the next opportunity where I can do it, thus inducing a far
more relaxing driving experience.
