Default Civic Hood Insulation

I can't get wax to stay on the hood of my 95 Civic EX with a "Forest
Green" color. Between the sun and the engine heat, the hood heats up
after shutdown. Did Honda ever make hood insulation for the 92-95 Civic?
I seen a lot of Honda's in the salvage yard and have never seen one with
it. Also, does anyone know of an
after market source for this item? Thanks in advance for any info.

Are you really using wax... or some polymer coating?
