Default 1989 Doge Omni

When the temperature gets up to where the electric fan kicks in you get a
clicking sound that sounds like it is coming from the relay switch and
after a few minutes the car starts sputtering and dies. I have put a new
relay switch in and also a new temperature sending unit but that has not
helped. The car does not have air conditioning.
